FAQ: What is a ceramic Coating?

What are paint corrections and ceramic coatings? How do they help keep your classic car from loosing its value? Is it possible to use or apply them yourself? We answer all and more in our dtlrs FAQ.

Don't let your classic lose its value 🌀

  • Unprotected classic car paint shows dullness, fading, oxidation (chalkiness), swirl marks, and water spots. It feels rough, discolors, and water won't bead. These are signs of degradation.

  • A ceramic coating forms a hard barrier on paint, metal, and wheels. It blocks UV,stopping fading/oxidation and also repels water/contaminants, preserving your cars value.

Scratches and swirls can ruin your ride ✨

  • A paint correction is essential. It removes scratches, oxidation, imperfections, restoring original shine. This smooth finish ensures the ceramic coating bonds perfectly for maximum protection.

  • We wouldn’t recommend it as you could make the scratches worse. To remove scratches you not only need the proper tools, you need years of experience with measuring and polishing classic car paint.

Protect your investment. Coat it. 💦

  • Yes, use our Seal spray coating. We don't recommend applying 9H Serum Seal Pro if you lack pro-experience. Incorrect application causes high spots or paint damage.

  • No, not all coatings are equal. For example, Seal provides 6-12 months of hydrophobic ceramic protection while Seal Pro is our professional-grade 9H ceramic coating, offering 5+years of superior durability and gloss.
